Kenneth J. Jones founded Prestige Remodeling and Construction, Inc in 1991 as a regional construction firm specializing in residential renovations and improvements. After building an impressive roster of residential projects, and in response to the growing demand for full service contractors, Mr. Jones expanded into the commercial and industrial arenas in 1997. As a result of this expansion, he also changed the company name to Prestige Construction Group, Incorporated. Subsequently, Prestige has become one of the region’s fastest growing minority-owned construction firms, experiencing a 60% average growth rate over the past four years. The continuing and growing success of Prestige Construction Group is evidenced by recognition by the company's business peers. In 1997, the Richmond Council for Minority Business Development named Prestige the Minority Construction Firm of the Year. In Septembher of 2006, the Central Virginia Business and Contractors Association chose Prestige Construction Group as its Business of the Year for 2006. |
